About Us

Pimienta Films

Pimienta Films Founded in 2008 by Nicolas Celis as an independent production house established in Mexico City. Its main activity is the production of short films, documentaries and feature films that have an artistic look of the author's life and. The goal for the next few years is to build strong relationships with Latin American and European companies mainly to co-produce and increase to expand the distribution of our films.

Pepper Films co-produced the film Cold Sea Water Paz Fabrega who won the VPRO Tiger Award at Rotterdam Film Festival. Two short films are in post: Galeana 8 Andres Perez and First Dream Elisa Miller. Supported feature Jorge Michel Grau, We are what we are which premiered at the Directors Fortnight at Cannes. Pepper Films provided production services for film director and actor James Franco called The Broken Tower.

CONACULTA

READING ROOM, produced documentary made in conjunction with The Center for Cinematographic Training (CCC) and the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CONACULTA). Reading Room portrayed in different parts of the country have organized volunteers to promote reading from book donations made by the CONACULTA.

Raise awareness and bring the public to this important work volunteers do from Tijuana on the border to Campeche in a prison. Both volunteers and participants of the reading rooms, has changed their life in some way involved.

The documentary The Tiniest place, Before Opera de Tatiana Huezo, received the Audience Award (Standard-Viennale-Publikumspreis 2011) in the International Film Festival in Vienna, also known as the Viennale.
